Then, we played at the park after also visiting the library to pick up more books and go to a game store to look at Pokemon cards.

Cheesecake from the local grocery store was his request.
He wanted Pizza Hut for lunch: cheesy garlic pizza. And we got the NZ soda L&P, which is kind of like ginger ale but it's even more carbonated.

He got a Lego Minecraft bakery set, which seems perfect because it combines three of his favorite things. If only it somehow also incorporated photography and K-Pop!

J planned a birthday day full of fun and exciting food and activity experiences. We started with making a blue pancake that is from a kid Minecraft cookbook, making foods that look like things in the video game.
Matt has been super excited to see a little blue penguin since he learned of their existence. We were unsuccessful at seeing them the first two times we visited the Wellington Zoo. So, we went on Wednesday to the planned talk time when they get fed, and we saw all 6 adorable little blue penguins!

We visited a lovely house church on Sunday and got invited to have dinner with some of the families that live in one apartment building together. They knew that Jeremiah's birthday was this week and that we didn't know a lot of people. So, they made him an amazing banana cake! We will have one of the families over this Sunday to play with Lego. It was great for J and E to start meeting other kids.

Wow, Magnolia has made it all the way to Wellington! 😋
Jeremiah is really into cooking recently and asked for his own kitchen supplies. He loves blending things, and the rest of the family doesn't really care to blend our food, so he got his own blender from his Nannie (Matt's mom). He was so excited he insisted on blending something at 8 pm the night he opened it.

This park is a block from our house. They filmed part of Lord of the Rings there, and it's even on the sign.
Our garden is growing! cauliflower, spinach, strawberries, carrots

Mail is not picked up at residential addresses. We will be mailing things to the U.S. in these little red boxes posted all over town.
